Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) is a leading provider of motorcycle technician training, including Manufacturer Specific Training programs supported and equipped by major motorcycle manufacturers – BMW, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha. At MMI, you can get the hands-on training that you need to start an exciting career as a motorcycle technician and you could graduate just about a year. (less than a year now – 48 weeks minimum)
Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and Orlando, Florida.
You can begin your journey at MMI by completing the Harley-Davidson technician prerequisite, which can provide training on a wide range of motorcycles representing the top manufacturers. Then, you can complete your training with either the Harley-Davidson Early Model or Harley-Davidson Late Model elective (or both, if you prefer).

The BMW Motorrad Technician course is officially sponsored, supported, and endorsed by BMW Motorrad USA. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and entry-level experience to be recognized as a Tier 1 Certified Technician**. (verify the "certification" pieces with the education team at MMI.)
The HonTech 24 elective, officially endorsed by American Honda, is designed to provide you with the knowledge and experience necessary to become an entry-level American Honda Technician. You can now become a Honda Registered Technician while still attending MMI.
MMI offers the only Yamaha elective that is officially endorsed and equipped by Yamaha Motor Corp., USA. YamaPro is an intense 12-week course designed to provide you with the specialized training required to become an entry-level Yamaha technician.
The K-TECH Specialist elective is officially endorsed and equipped by Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA. It's designed to provide you with the skills and hands-on experience you need to become an entry-level Kawasaki technician. K-TECH is equipped by Kawasaki with current motorcycles, ATVs and watercraft.
The only Suzuki training course that is officially endorsed and equipped by the American Suzuki Motor Corporation, the FAST elective can provide you with the knowledge and experience necessary to become an entry-level Suzuki technician.
*BMW Motorrad elective is only available at the MMI Phoenix campus.
**An MMI/BMW endorsed Motorrad Technician certificate is awarded upon successful program completion. When the holder of this certificate is hired at a BMW Motorrad Dealership, BMW Motorrad USA Tier 1 Certified Technician status can be activated.
