Vatterott College is dedicated to providing students opportunities to gain the hands-on skills necessary to achieve their educational goals. Vatterott offers a variety of program options, flexible schedules, and convenient start dates, allowing students to start their future now.


In 1969, Vatterott College began providing career training to students seeking career skills for a better life. In 2003, Vatterott Educational Centers, Inc. was established as the parent company of Vatterott College.

Today, Vatterott serves a diverse student population across 19 locations in 9 states, as well as a vibrant online community. Each of these institutions take pride in serving both the student population and the local communities that help continue the Vatterott tradition. Vatterott continues to grow by offering additional diploma and degree programs, launching new locations, and looking for other opportunities to grow and improve our student services. Through this effort, Vatterott was recently named a G.I. Jobs Military Friendly School.

Vatterott offers programs in the fields of Business, Medical, Technical, Trades, Cosmetology, Dental, Legal, Personal Fitness, and Veterinary, as well as many continuing education opportunities. All programs are industry-relevant and designed to support the Vatterott mission of providing career skills for a better life.

Program Descriptions

Automotive Technology

The field of automotive repair is critical to our way of life - we need our cars to run and get us to where we need to be. Our automotive technology program can get you started in this field by teaching you the necessary skills to gain employment at a range of facilities. Independent automotive shops, dealerships and companies with fleets all hire trained professionals to repair and service vehicles.

Diesel Mechanic

Diesel trucks and equipment are a driving force in today's economy. Opportunities for trained professionals are increasing (http://www.bls.gov/ooh/Installation-Maintenance-and-Repair/Diesel-service-technicians-and-mechanics.htm) as Diesel continues to be the standard in heavy equipment. Vatterott College provides hands-on practical diesel mechanic training in industry-current facilities. Our instructors educate students in diesel fuel engines and fuel systems, electronic systems for medium and heavy duty trucks and steering and suspension. Graduates of this program may pursue careers in fleet truck maintenance, dealership mechanic or one of many other opportunities in the trucking industry.

Powersports Equipment & Small Engine Mechanic

The objective of this program is to prepare the student for employment as an entry level Powersport Equipment Technician/Mechanic, Motorcycle Repair Technician/Mechanic, or Equipment Repair Technician with the knowledge and skills needed to service, troubleshoot, and repair small engine-powered equipment. Graduates of this program should qualify for employment as a repair technician, installer, mechanic or similar at small engine service and repair or rental shops, outdoor power equipment dealers, recreation vehicles dealers, and landscaping and grounds maintenance service centers.
